This is a very convincing beast, and the piece overall is so active. You can imagine what happened before and what will happen after. Mad skillz bro
Thank you. I'm really glad you think so. I reference this piece sometimes when I do artistic panels at conventions, as an example of how to try and make a not very good concept work. The description that white Wolf gave me of the creature was that it had the body of an elephant, the head and claws of a lion, and at least four sets of raptor wings. If I drew that straight It would look stupid. So I asked the art director if I could use the description as how some primitive culture would've tried to describe some sort of Lovecraft monster. Thank God they went with it, or I would've been pulling my hair out.
I just wanted to say that this was a well-done chimera. There's a nice blending effect between whatever beasts helped inspire this. Dunno if this is what you were going for, but it reminds me of the biblical description of cherubim (part lion, part ox, part eagle).
